Considering this was in the times of Joe Camel(iirc- was young) it's not totally ridiculous.
Joe Camel was in the process of being phased out of ads by the time the 90s came around. You could still get Joe Camel branded items with the Camel cash up until somewhere around 2000-0something. Maybe 05. I had a crapload of those saved, I was going to use them, and they stopped the whole thing right when I had enough, I was pissed lol but now I have a lovely collection of various types of Camel cash that I keep hidden away in a shoebox. I also learned that the green Camel cash from the menthol flavored Turkish blend will burn green when lit on fire, and the blue from the cash off of packs of Turkish blend lights will burn blue. And I remember going to the corner deli with my dad in the 80s and buying Camel brand candy cigarettes. They also had Newport and Marlboro branded candy, but I got Camel cuz my dad smoked them. But it had nothing to do with a cartoon camel telling me to. Sorry, I just totally went on a trip down memory lane and dragged you with me!

Dude still curls 150lbs and does 350-400lb T-Bar rows at 73 years old, smokes a cigar and has some steak on occasion at his age to enjoy life. Just kidding obviously cigars are gross and bad for you but one a day ain’t gonna kill you unless you get cancer from it. Arnold is healthier than most 73 year olds and that’s because even with some of his unhealthy behaviors he has lifted and done cardio almost daily for about 55 years.

Wrong Bush. You meant, George "I will never apologize for the United States of America, I don't care what the facts are," Bush. AKA, "Former CIA Director" Bush. AKA, "I don't remember where I was on November 22, 1963" Bush (It was Dallas).
Him saying he didn't remember where he was that day always fucks me up. Why not just lie? Every person in the country knew where they were that day. Fun fact, Nixon was also in Dallas that day. Funny how that happened.
Yep! Nixon was speaking with Pepsi Cola Company in Dallas that day. Not like they previously had ties to Cuban Sugar or anything. And Gerald Ford would later be on the Warren Commission. As for HW Bush lies about Dallas, [it might have had something to do with this](https://whowhatwhy.org/2013/10/02/bush-and-the-jfk-hit-part-3-where-was-poppy-november-22-1963/): > On Thursday, August 25, 1988, about six weeks after the Nation published Joseph McBride’s piece on “George Bush of the CIA” – and just a week after George H. W. Bush accepted the Republican presidential nomination – a short article appeared in the San Francisco Examiner, with the intriguing headline: “Documents: Bush Blew Whistle on Rival in JFK Slaying.” The article began like this:A man who identified himself as George H. W. Bush phoned the FBI in Houston a few hours after President John F. Kennedy’s assassination in Dallas to report that a right-wing Young Republican had “been talking of killing the president,” FBI documents show.

Pretty much this. Dominated every field he got involved. Movie sta Mr. Olympia, serial entrepreneur and governor of California despite being unable to pronounce it. I’m pretty astonished his accent is so heavy still considering he has lived here longer than I have been alive

[Quote:](https://ballotpedia.org/Arnold_Schwarzenegger) >In an interview on October 29, 2002, with MSNBC's Chris Matthews at Chapman University, Schwarzenegger explained why he is a Republican: >>"Well, I think because a lot of people don't know why I'm a Republican, I came first of all from a socialistic country which is Austria and when I came over here in 1968 with the presidential elections coming up in November, I came over in October, I heard a lot of the press conferences from both of the candidates Humphrey and Nixon, and Humphrey was talking about more government is the solution, protectionism, and everything he said about government involvement sounded to me more like Social Democratic Party of Austrian socialism." >Schwarzenegger continues: >>"Then when I heard Nixon talk about it, he said open up the borders, the consumers should be represented there ultimately and strengthen the military and get the government off our backs. I said to myself, what is this guy's party affiliation? I didn't know anything at that point. So I asked my friend, what is Nixon? He's a Republican. And I said, I am a Republican. That's how I became a Republican." [Wikipedia has more.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Political_career_of_Arnold_Schwarzenegger#Political_philosophy) >Schwarzenegger is a member of the Republican Party and, in September 2012, told Lesley Stahl on 60 Minutes that he will never leave the party. On September 7, 2007, Schwarzenegger said, "I am proud to be a member of the party of Abraham Lincoln. I am proud to be a member of the party of Ronald Reagan." > In August 2003, Schwarzenegger indicated that he's not a cultural conservative. Schwarzenegger believes that Austrian social democracy limited the horizons of many of his friends. >The New Yorker's Connie Bruck called Schwarzenegger "supermoderate". Andrew Gumbel of The Independent wrote, "[Schwarzenegger is] a man of surprises. He mixes in the social circles of Hollywood's liberal elite...yet he has always regarded himself as a staunch Republican—among other things, an act of rebellion against the staunch social democratic values of his native Austria." Los Angeles Times writer Joe Mathews wrote that Schwarzenegger routinely sides with business and asserts quasi-libertarian views on individual freedom but has crossed borders and associated with groups whose experiences seem foreign to his own. Daniel Weintraub of the San Francisco Chronicle wrote, "[Schwarzenegger] is liberal on some issues, conservative on others and, sometimes, but not always, in the middle." Iirc some say that tax reasons were the most important ones when he picked a party but I can't remember where I heard it and may remember it wrong.

It’s toward the end of predator actually. You can see the intensity in Arnold’s eyes because he is trying to steer around the predator during their iconic sled race.

Last time I watched Commando, it struck me as rather weird that in 1985 Arnie would be old enough to have a teenage daughter. Turns out, he was 38. He got into acting at an age that today would be considered rather late.
Though I’m sure having that Mr. Olympia and Mr. Universe fame helped in getting a foot through the door, and his charisma and what not sold him the rest of the way, his accent be damned. The Rock was the same way, though being a wrestler in some ways is like being an actor, so he already had some “experience” before really diving into Hollywood in his 30’s.
Red_Danger3330 赞2021/2/19
>a wrestler in some ways is like being an actor, Wrestling is theatre, they're all actors of varying degrees. You just need to be able to do the physical aspect of it too, which is weighted more heavily for them than it is for regular actors.

In 2015, I wrote a letter to Bush, Sr. after reading that he was throwing things at the TV when Trump insulted Jeb. I told 41 that I had voted for Dukakis in 1988, but now thought that GHWB had been a good president, mostly. He wrote me back a very courteous letter that mixed boilerplate with some personal touches.
