Small barrel curling iron, mad back combing skills, and so much Aqua Net hairspray. So much.
小号卷发棒，再加上炉火纯青的倒梳技术，还有海量的雅娜（Aqua Net）定型喷雾。真的是海量。

Dep gel would be scrunched into the long hair in the back, in order to bring out the curls of your perm, but it was too wet for the bangs, only Aqua Net Super Ultra Hold hairspray in the white can with pink lettering would work for the bangs. First you curl them, then you back comb, then maybe curl the tips again, the spray that hairspray on. I remember checking my friends before school for dried hairspray drips down their faces, and helping them wipe it off.
以前做那种烫发，还得把 Dep 发胶抓在后脑勺的长发里，好让卷儿显得更明显，但那玩意儿对刘海来说太湿了，刘海必须得用白色瓶身配粉色字体的 Aqua Net 超强力定型喷雾才行。
先用卷发棒卷好，接着倒梳打毛，搞不好还得把发梢再卷一遍，最后狠狠喷上一层定型喷雾。我记得以前上学前还会检查朋友脸上有没有干掉的发胶滴痕，顺手帮她们擦掉。

OP, you didn't even need luck. You had to be an instant winner in the genetic lottery. Your parents are both beautifully hot! I envy your mom's bangs because they look so perfect and like it was easy to make them do that, but it took talent and skill few of us had back then. I still don't have either one. Also, I envy that she could make that expression. Whether it was spontaneous or on purpose doesn't matter. There's no way my face could ever arrange itself like that without looking like an overconfident but terrible old timey tv actress, all over-the-top, whether I felt that sensuous or was playing to the camera. Comical. *She* looks glamorous. Like a movie star. I know I'm talking about your parents, and I don't want it to get too weird for you, so I'm not going to share my thoughts about your dad. Let's just say that he is very handsome, in a spotlights-in-the-sky celebrity kind of way. To;dr The people in that picture are uncommonly nice looking.
