There's a fantastic documentary called "[After Hitler: The Cleanup That Followed WWII](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gTRLhs9tI70)" which showed war survivors pushing, punching, and humiliating former German guards. Before I saw it, just about all this footage was unknown to me. It's amazing.

My dad was in Germany at that war before he headed over to the Pacific. When I was a kid he told me a story once about how some soldiers with the 101st I think it was had let some of the prisoners tie some of the worst to posts and let the prisoners Stone them to death. He said sometimes they would run out of stones go back pick them all up and then go back and throw them all again.
