God, she was such an icon. I was ten when she died and watched it on TV from the other side of the world with my mom. I had an aunt who years later took her own life, but she was JUST like Diana. She wore her hair the same way, beautiful light eyes, went to the salon every few weeks to have her hair redone, wore lots of similar clothing since that was the style back then, and took care of retired Italian greyhound dogs that had either been surrended or discard and she fostered them. Her mental health took a dive later but damn do I miss them BOTH!

AIDS ended up killing her, though. Her driving aid was horrible. So sad.
